Online Craps Flash Game
How to Play this Craps Game
There aren't too many instructions to pass along before you get started with this game. You will start out with a total of $999.00. You will first need to select your chip size. To bet this chip, click on one of the spots on the board. If you click multiple times on the same spot you will bet multiple chips.
When you are done betting, press the Roll button. If you would like to clear your bets from the table, press the Clear button. You can turn the dealer's voice on and off by toggling the Voice button.
There is also an auto-roll button which you can activate. This will give you 8 seconds to bet before the next roll will take place. You can clear your chips and re-bet while in Auto mode.
The one simple tip I'll give you before I go into more detail is that you can't bet on Come or Don't Come until you have made the come out roll, or the roll before a point is established. After the come out roll, you cannot bet on Pass or Don't Pass.
Basic Craps Rules
Craps may look like a complex game, but it really isn't. All of the different bets that are available have a set of conditions to meet before you win or lose any money on the bets. Some bets are one roll bets, meaning you only get one chance to win before your bet is taken. Others bets are won when the number on the dice matches your bet. Bets can be lost when a point is already set and a 7 is rolled.
I'm going to give you a basic description of the different types of bets that can be made in Craps. I will refer to the "come out roll" which is the roll of the dice that determines the point. The point is the total of the first roll. Playing online craps or at a live casino, the rules or the same
Here are the different types of bets:
- Pass Line - You must bet this
before the come out roll. If you
roll a 7 or 11 on the come-out roll,
you win. If you roll a 2, 3 or 12 on
the come-out roll, you lose.
Otherwise, the number the dice adds
up to become the point and you must
roll that number again before you
roll a 7.
- Don't Pass Line - The exact
opposite of the Pass Line.
Rolling a 2, 3 or 12 on the come
out roll wins as well as rolling
a 7 before the point is made.
- Come - This is only allowed
to be bet on after the come out
roll. The principle is the same
as the Pass Line. If the first
roll after your bet on Come is a
7 or 11, you win this bet; 2, 3
or 12 loses. Otherwise, a new
point is made for your bet to
have to achieve before a 7 is
rolled. If the original point is
won, the Come bet still stays on
the board until it's point is
achieved or a 7 is rolled.
- Don't Come - Same as Come bet only the exact opposite. Rolling a 2, 3 or 12 on the first roll after a Come bet will result in a winning bet and rolling 7 or 11 loses. Otherwise you want a seven rolled before this new point is rolled again.
Place Betting
I'll
give you a little overview about the
place bets in it's own section. You
will notice four places to bet on
any of these numbers. You may not
have any idea how these bets are
different.
These bets are called (goes from top to bottom in the picture) Place Bet to Lose, Lay Bet, Buy Bet, Place Bet to Win.
Here is an explanation of these bets:
- Buy Bet - You are betting
that the number you bet on will
be rolled before a 7. The main
difference between this and a
Place Bet is that you are buying
this bet so that it will pay off
better odds if it wins. You must
pay 5% commission on this bet.
- Lay Bet - You are betting that
the number will not come before a
seven is rolled.
- Place Bet - You are betting
that this number will be rolled
before a 7. If you win, your
original bet will remain on the
table.
- Place Bet to Lose - The
exact opposite of Place Bet.
Other Bets
Field Bet - The field consists of the numbers 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 12 or in other words everything except the four most common numbers rolled. This is a one roll bet, meaning the next roll will determine whether you win or lose this bet. If a 2 or 12 is rolled for your field bet, you win double what you bet.
Big 6 and Big 8 - in this flash game, there is no difference between betting on these and betting on 6 or 8. At the casino, you should never bet on these because they pay out worse than the 6 or 8 place bet.
Hardway Bets - You are betting that the next time that number is rolled that the dice will be a double. If you roll that number and the dice don't match, you lose the bet. You also lose this bet if a 7 is rolled during a point.
Horn Bets - This includes any of the one roll craps bets. These are the 15 to 1 odds on numbers 3 and 11 or 30 to 1 odds on the numbers 2 or 12.
Any Craps - You are betting that the 2, 3, 11 or 12 will be rolled on the next throw. Pays out 7 to 1 odds.
Any Seven - You are betting that the next bet will be a 7. Pays out 4 to 1. This bet has the worst house odds
Whirl Bet - This is a special bet that you will have to do manually. A whirl bet is when you place bets on all four craps numbers and any seven at the same time.
For any bet listed here except the Field, the House has an advantage of 9% or more. The worst is Any 7 with a 16.67% house edge.
